26th November 2008 might become a very important day in Indian history for decades to come but 29th November 2008 has undoubtedly become the most relieved day for all Indians. For once the relief was more than even 15th August 1947.
The loss in the 59 hour siege is beyond repair. It doesnt need the condolences by a few ministers who can do nothing but condole.Hundreds of innocent lifes, many brave soldiers, many foreign guests, the demolition of one the most heritage symbols of our beloved country and uncountable questions, the answer to which if we dont get now we probably wont ever get, that this ferociuos assault has brought with it.This sabotage on the financial capital of an aspiring super economic power Nation has raised many questions.
Now that our brave soldiers have come triumphant, its not the time to celebrate and pet the belief of the victory of the good over evil.Lets face the fact that it wasnt us who have won but those terrorists who have won. They were here with a purpose to terrorise a Nation of a billion people. They were here to die and they died but only after their mission was accomplished.
Its not about this particular incident neither is it about Malegaon nor for any other victimised place. Its about asking hundreds of questions to ourselves and to those in the system. How much more? How much is much? When is it all going to end? When,if ever, will we respond to those carrying these carnage? Why cant we do what America did to Afghanistan? When will we stop playing petty politics to grab vote banks?Aaaaaahhhhhh, its just so painful to even think about these things.
Whats really the irony of this incident is the mere reminder of the fact that since 9/11,the greatest and might well the only attack in decades, not a single American has died of terrorists. But here ever since the 1993 blasts the quantum of attacks have only increased with every succeeding one. So,dont we dare sit relaxed in our houses.Just imagine when they strike next what are they going to strike like. This time they were 20 or 25 next time maybe they are going to be 500 for they know that striking this Nation is a childs act. These impotent people are never going to retaliate coz those in the system will never stop their lust for the damned KURSI.With corruption being the national mantra they know that if they throw money they can do anything here. Its sad but an attack of this velocity doesnt seem possible without the help of those of our own.Such a blunderous lapse in the intelligence is just unbelievable.
Millions of lifes lost in these blasts.Whats even worse is the aftermath of each and every calamity.Arnt we sick of those whos who of politics condoling and requesting for the peace to prevail.Reassuring us that those responsible will not be spared.BIG DEAL.We are still in the hunt for the mastermind of the jolts we suffered 15yrs back.Even after sufficient proofs that our neighbouring country is parenting all of this we are still effortlessly insolent.Strange, that a country on the verge of bankruptcy can manage these masterminds and dominate a Nation of over a billion aspiring to become an economic super power in a decade or two.
Why would anyone sacrifice their lifes in a country where the bravery of a martyr is questioned by some insane politicians just for the sake of their bloody votebanks. We must have forgotten the Batla house incident. The great Mr.M.C.Sharma's soul would be crying somewhere with this kinda insult. The great armymen stake their lifes for the safety of all of us and what does the Sixth pay commission do.They play havoc with what they must be paid.
When are we going to stop religionising terrorism? When are we going to stop dividing people?Sometimes for their religions sake or sometimes for the sake of their region and if not anything else just in the name of reservation quotas. There are cries amongst the people for which these politicians dont have ears to.Stop telling us whether we are Hindus or Muslims or a Bihari or Marathi. We know we are Indians.High time we tell ourselves that we are Indians and only Indians.Did we see any of the Pro Marathi campaigners showing concerns for wat was going on?For once were they ashamed of themselves finding those fighting terrorists were just not Mumbaikars but they were NATIONAL SECURITY GUARDS along with the NATIONAL ARMY.
In a country of ever increasing GDP rate cant we have sensible, intelligent and proffessional people guiding the nation, helping it overcome its crisis. Why do we have to elect our ministers majority having a criminal background,so imcompetent and self centric. In a country that has produced leaders like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose,Bhagat Singh,Raj Guru,Chatrapati Shivaji,Mangal Pandey and various others cant we find anyone potent enough to lead us.We saw the anguished reactions of some affluent people on various news channels but I as an average Indian question the Suhel Seths, the Rahul Bajajs, the Arnab Goswamis and various other whos who of the society,Who afterall do we opt for if not these marons.Do we have an option? Why cant these people with intelligence, money and influence come up and take up the social responsibility.
Wasnt it agonising to see the convoy of the VVIPs arrive at the incident site with such hardened security. It appeared as though whole of country might end up loosing their lifes but not a scratch must come to these governing us nowhere.
For once should we say,"PITY WE ARE INDIANS."The answer is NO.So,lets pledge to ourselves that we will not anymore let these in power make a mockery of ours.Lets vow that next time these cheap politicians ask us to do anything non-sensical,unethical we will stand against it united.Lets say to ourselves that the next time we will not think the communal way, regional way not even the caste way coz theres only one way of thinking and thats INDIAN.Let us all stand in solidarity and bring on a change which will inspire the world and we would chorus"YES WE CAN."
For once sense will prevail in India.AMEN.
P.S.-This has not been written as an act of heroism, but in response to the feelings generated from the visions of the last three days.Let the souls of those lifes lost rest in peace.God give their families strenth.God bless.
